This is an interactive hardboiled detective story machine. You sit at a CRT chassis — Metro Homicide Teletype Model 9 — and a procedural noir case types itself onto the glass. You choose leads; the machine invents the rest. Everything is generated in your browser: plot, rain, clacks, even the audio hum. Zero servers. Zero accounts.

• What it is A single-page CRT fiction toy: rain on the tube, scanlines, and a diegetic teletype that writes a case from a seed.
• How it plays Accept the transmission → read the opening → pick a lead (1–3) when choices appear → the story branches and closes with a hardboiled beat.
• The seed Each case number in the URL is the whole story. Same number → same case. Press N for a new one.
• Kinetics The top title cycles liquid / wave / explode letter effects. Small headings on the badge & settings pulse on hover. The story text itself stays pure teletype.
• Atmosphere Stuck clock, blotter ticker, ghost crosstalk, CRT interference, phosphor dust. Tap the metal badge for a diagnostic blip.
• What it is not Not a chat bot, not multiplayer, not on-chain. Paper fiction on dead air.
